Remember, no 6AM class on Wednesday! Back to regular schedule on Thursday.
Kettlebell week continues and today we’ll add the one-armed kettlebell swing to our lexicon. If you came to class yesterday, you already got a taste of it, since it’s one of the founding movements to lead us up to the kettlebell snatch. We’ll do a little bit of drilling on it today as well as covering the mid-air hand transfer, which is just as awesome as it sounds.
In other news, this Saturday is our March MOMP (Middle Of the Month Party), and something tells me it’ll be green-themed. Wear your Irish best and come down for a fun one. Class is at 9:00AM (open to friends, family and newcomers), followed shortly by Barb and Mo doing the Open WOD at 10:00AM and then followed by hanging out and chatting and eating snacks and drinking things. I might pull out our copy of Every Second Counts for a little post-WOD screening. It’s a documentary revolving around the 2008 CrossFit Games and it puts the current Open & Games into proper perspective. We’ll definitely watch it just before this year’s CrossFit Games kick off.
Lastly, we’ve got a special announcement going out tonight to the members of our mailing list. We’ve got a big event coming up in April, and we’re letting the mailing list folks (and our members) know about it first. So be sure you’ve signed up for our mailing list (the link’s over there to the right under the search box) and keep an eye on your inbox!
