For today’s blog, we have a guest post from Robyne about that mysterious pawprint-covered box you might have noticed when you walk in the door.

Many of us here at CFZ are animal lovers and loving pet parents. In an effort to support our local animal shelter, a box has been created for donations in support of Wallingford Animal Control (WAC). The box is under the table as you come in our front door, wrapped in paw print paper. Please help by donating items such as:

  • Old, but clean towels, blankets, sheets, comforters
  • Cat litter
  • Dog and cat food (dry and canned)
  • Dog toys and cat toys
  • Nylabones for large dogs
  • Laundry detergent
  • Bleach
  • Harnesses, collars and leashes

Once our box is full, it will be taken to WAC and donated on behalf of CFZ.

The shelter is currently experiencing an influx of both dogs and cats and is nearly at capacity. They have a tremendous need for donations, as well as loving forever homes for their four-legged residents.

WAC is a no-kill shelter located at 5 Pent Road in Wallingford. For more information on the shelter and the animals for adoption, please visit; or search for them on Facebook.

Thanks so much for your support!
