Last weekend was another MOMP weekend, so that means the guns came out again. This time there was the added challenge of luck – shoot for your movement, roll the dice for your reps. We also had a new bonus rule: if gangsta rap was playing, you naturally had to hold the gun horizontally to shoot. It was interesting to see what some people think gangsta rap is…
We’re going to start out with a shout out to our latest Friend of Zenith, Samantha Carrano. All the folks there know that she totally kicked ass in this WOD, but don’t realize just how much: this past week was one of her chemo weeks. That’s right – she’s kicking both cancer’s ass and CrossFit’s ass at the same time – awesome work, Sam!
This is the most frightened tire in Wallingford.
Uh oh, Kristine’s team gets to do burpees now.
Same takes up the gun while her teammate Edgar watches – will they fare better?
And EVERYONE does burpees!
Andrew used his experience growing up in South Central LA, but Jordan still had the upper hand.
Andrew still can’t believe the luck of the roll. Three burpees!
Those are the strangest plate overhead walking lunges I’ve seen…
Barb takes up the gun, though I’m pretty sure The Carpenters were playing right about then.
Alice demonstrates that just because you’re gangsta doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be safe.
Mark with his true CrossFit love… the tire.
Jordan was flipping the tire like a pro. The tire, I should add, that was about as tall as he was. Strong work!
Sam makes her way past Abmat row.
Plate Overhead walking lunges again! Yay!
Mark was so excited for the walking lunges, he’d just flap his arms about whenever they went by.
POW! Ring rows!
Hopefully Alice’s teammates are discussing gun safety.
This is the look of someone who doesn’t have to do walking lunges for a round.
