If you saw the Open WOD announcement Thursday night, you’re probably wondering what’s happening with our workout today. First, for those of you who didn’t watch the announcement, here’s what the Open competitors get to go through:
14 minute AMRAP:
60 Calorie row
40 Wall-balls, 20/14
30 Cleans, 135/95
While this is a great workout for the Open, where they’re trying to narrow down who’s going to the Regionals and eventually to the Games, it’s not a great workout for us at this point. More than likely, it would turn into a very long row and some number of toes-to-bars with maybe a few wall balls. That’s just kind of where we are in the CrossFit journey right now. Because of that, we’re going to do a different workout involving some movements we’re a little more comfortable with so it’ll be a little more fun than grinding.
If you want to see some folks doing this workout, you have two options. The first (and best) option is to come to the gym at 10:00 AM on Saturday to cheer on Mo & Barb as they plow through this workout. They’re going to need a pretty big cheering section to get through the whole 14 minutes, so plan your day wisely. Come work out at 9 and then scream at 10. Another great morning of CrossFit.
