Remember, it’s a journey…

● Ever get down on yourself that you don’t know how to do something?

● Ever get pissed that you don’t know what you’re going to do with the rest of your life?

● Have you felt scared, confused, or frustrated, because you don’t have it all figured out (and you feel like you should)?

I’m sure you’ve been there, I know I have.

We can become very impatient with ourselves when we don’t have the “answers”. Right?

Think about these tips and try them out

If you don’t know something right now, realize that part of the fun is figuring it out.

If you’re unsure where you’re going, or what’s going to happen next, do your best to stay positive and focus on what you can control. You can still enjoy the present.

If you catch yourself becoming frustrated that you’re “not there yet” or “not quite sure”, think to yourself how lame it would be to be great at everything, have everything, know everything, or be sure of everything (that’s what I often do). I mean, then what would you do, strive towards or live for?

Continue to bring your focus back to the now, and remind yourself of the journey. Life, and CrossFit aren’t about results, or having all of the answers.

The more you can appreciate and love the adventure of it all (instead of letting it stress you out), the more you’ll be just fine when you realize you “don’t know” or “aren’t quite there yet”.

I’ve always loved this quote, it reminds me to “love the questions” and to be just fine hanging out in the unknown and not having it all figured out right now.
